From the same set as numbers 6058 and 6059, this is an extremely important transitional pattern pedigreed to the New Netherlands June 1970, sale and earlier to the 1942 ANA Convention sale. Possibly as many as 12 examples survive today, despite claims that only five sets were made. In addition, a complete set of these three patterns is known in gold, and is housed in the Smithsonian Institution. A second gold set is currently untraced.

Provenance:
From New Netherlands 61st Sale, June 1970, Lot 20, via Julian Leidman who represented Bass at the event.
Obverse:
Regular-issue die of the date.
Reverse:
Very similar to the regular-issue die of the date, but with IN GOD WE TRUST on a ribbon above the eagle.
Commentary:
"Cost was $275, + $14 to Julian Leidman."
