Another quarter dollar entry in the Standard Silver series, this coin has been slightly modified from that displayed at HBCC-6078. This obverse has Liberty wearing a coronet with a band inscribed LIBERTY. Among 1869 Standard Silver coinage issues, each denomination had three different obverse designs. With three denominations, this created a total of nine varieties. Apparently, collectors could purchase nine-coin sets from the Mint for $15. It has been reported that a total of 69 of these sets were actually sold.

Obverse:
Diademed head of Liberty to left, ribbon in hair inscribed LIBERTY, hair flowing at shoulder and gathered in bun at back of head, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around, IN GOD WE TRUST on scroll below.
Reverse:
Oak and laurel wreath with 25 CENTS in two lines at center, STANDARD SILVER around wreath, date below.
