The Indian Princess design appears in a plain field with outstanding cameo-like contrast between fields and devices. Harry Bass acquired this example in March 1971, from Joel Malter. Just five examples were listed by Andrew Pollock in his pattern reference. This example was exceptionally sharply struck, with all details boldly defined, including the globe which is often weak and poorly detailed. The reverse features the Standard Silver design with the denomination enclosed in a wreath of grain and cereal. No statement of national origin appears.

Provenance:
Purchased from Joel L. Malter, March 3, 1971.
Obverse:

Reverse:
Wreath of corn and cotton, 50 CENTS on two lines within wreath, STANDARD above.
