This specimen has a history very similar to HBCC-6125, with just five examples reportedly struck, according to Captain John Haseltine in his March, 1876, auction. Andrew Pollock suggests several more exist today, rating this Rarity-6, which suggests between 13 and 30 survivors. The actual number is certainly much closer to 13. Reportedly, examples of the Sailor Head half eagle and eagle, in copper, were sold by the Mint as two-coin sets.

Obverse:

Head of Liberty to left, coronet in hair, LIBERTY and small sprig on coronet, hair tied back, collar at Liberty's neck, 13 stars around, date below bust.

Reverse:

Standing eagle at center, wings spread, head to right, olive branch and arrows in talons, E PLURIBUS UNUM in field above eagle, IN GOD WE TRUST on a ribbon below the eagle, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TEN DOLLARS around.
